LOVE: Costumes for Katy Perry, Rihanna & Fergie Designed by The Blonds

Have you ever wondered who’s responsible for designing the oftentimes outrageous costumes for Rihanna, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Fergie, and Britney Spears? Well, you needn’t wonder any longer. Their out-of-this-world costumes are the creations of designers Phillipe & David Blond, of The Blonds.

Take a look at some of their work:

Recently, Phillipe & David Blond created a spike and chainmail dress for Black Eyed Peas singer, Fergie. The dress was specially commissioned by the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation design duo, who just showed their most recent collection during New York Fashion Week.

.

The Blonds creations usually cost $10,000-$50,000 and it can take six weeks to create a single corset. The final product can weigh fifty pounds. Yes, five-zero.

Finally, here are some interesting pictures of the making of the gold dress Rihanna wore to her album release party:

TREND: Miu Miu sets the tone for 2010 Grammys Red Carpet

There is no question that last night’s color of choice was…well a lack of color I suppose. Nude is definitely in style for spring.
.
Additionally, nude with a little sparkle seems to be the look people are going for.
Most likely, inspiration came from the Miu Miu SS10 runway.
