NEXT: Kristen Stewart’s ELLE UK Shoot
Because you asked so nicely…
My opinion of the latest ELLE Magazine UK photoshoot:
“Wool & silk dress by Prada”
.
The dress is alright. I can see how Anne-Marie Curtis may have been trying to create an interesting contrast between Kristen’s tomboy mannerisms and the super girly ruffle dress. Actually, most of the looks in this shoot are soft and feminine.
.
“Beaded cashmere cardigan by Clements Ribeiro. Suede and metal shorts by 3.1 Phillip Lim. Wool socks by Prada.”
.
Suede and metal 3.1 Phillip Lim shorts sound like a good idea, but as you can see from the photo, they’re a little awkward. Both the most interesting and least flattering photo of the bunch.
.
“Wool playsuit by Vanessa Bruno. Wool socks by Prada.”
.
Love all the Prada socks.
.
Silk top and tweed skirt, both Dolce & Gabbana. Wool socks by Vanessa Bruno.
.
The prints and textures don’t exactly go together, but they work for a photoshoot. If this was printed in color I think it would have been too busy.
.
Wool jumper, leather and wool shorts and leather belt, all by D&G. Wool socks by Vanessa Bruno.
.
I love this jewel tone look. The shorts are a bit strange (and I have a feeling that if she was posed in any other way, they would like like a diaper), but the outfit as a whole is very interesting and the materials look luxe.

NEXT: Gossip Girl’s The Hurt Locket
Gossip Girl returns to TV tonight… woo hoo? Sadly, I’m beginning to like reading the Daily Intel’s reality index the next morning, more than I enjoy watching the show. Actually, there is one thing I’m looking forward to. My 3.1 Phillip Lim coat makes a cameo appearance tonight!
.
I bought this coat from Barneys way back in October. So, I’m actually a bit confused as to why it’s going to be on tonight’s episode. Aren’t people supposed to plan these things out? Shouldn’t a product get media attention while it’s still available? Maybe Phillip Lim doesn’t care.
.
.
Leaving with some past Daily Intel quotes:
-Constance Girl 3: “My family’s in investment banking; we’re all broke.” Jenny: “Then you can go.” Plus 2.
-Rufus and Dan wear matching outfits even if they’re not wearing plaid. Plus 5, with an additional plus 2 for the Ikea Gilbert chairs in the Dumbo loft, because that is real real.
-We thought Chuck’s double-breasted military thing with the wire boutonniere was heinous until we realized it was Thom Brown. Which made it perfect. Plus 3.
.
And finally, I am so excited to have the excuse to use this gif…
-Not only would Dan not have a mini-PC, but he also wouldn’t type on it on the street like a blind person. Seriously, him at that laptop is like an original Star Trek outtake. Minus 2.
.
Strangest thing The CW has aired. Ever.
