LOVE: Rachel Comey Fall 2010 C’est de l’art
In addition to Vena Cava, I attended the Rachel Comey show yesterday. Got there a bit early, but thankfully I was able to roam around & check out the art galleries in the area (Hello, Gagosian). 531 West 25th was a very fitting location for a Rachel Comey show.

Another plus about arriving early was getting a good seat. There were no seating assignments, and I ended up sitting second row next to Victoria Stevens, photo editor at CITY Magazine. Also in attendance: Julia Frakes and Cory Kennedy. Nice.
.
Not so nice- I dropped my camera later that night in a swarm of crazies paparazzi.
.
Anyway, here are my “Top Four” looks from the Rachel Comey Fall 2010 RTW collection:
.
The collection showed a huge range in looks. At the start, we saw a lot of lighter peachy, rose colors. As the show progressed, the colors transitioned into saturated coppers and oranges. For the color shy, plenty of black pieces were shown towards the end. As far as details go, I loved the veiny splatter print used on a red dress (look 23) & skirt (look 29). Abstract, organic prints were mixed into nearly every look to tie the whole collection together.
.
By the way, there were leather socks. Yeah, insanely cool. Waiting on high resolution images of them to obsess over.
